Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?

Although overall a mediocre album, two of Megadeth's best songs are on Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?. These are "Good Mourning/Black Friday", and, of course, "Peace Sells".
Overall, this album is faster paced than some of their later albums such as Countdown to Extinction and Cryptic Writings and is well suited for late-night driving when you are trying to stay awake - or term paper writing for those still in College. The cover of "I Ain't Superstitious" didn't really excite me, but in fairness, neither did the original. "Wake Up Dead" is an average song, with a cliché story; "Bad Omen's" lyrics are more exciting, but I find the music to be too disjointed and discordant for my tastes. While the music in "My Last Words" seems tedious and repetitive.
"Peace Sells" is an excellent song: good tempo, guitar solos, and insightful. I used to consider "Devil's Island" to be one of Megadeth's best songs; now, while I still rate it highly, several of their subsequent releases have supplanted this track. Finally, as stated above, "Good Mourning/Black Friday" is an extremely well put together song. It has tempo changes to keep things interesting, written from the stand point of a serial killer which is a change from most of their songs, and musically well put together.
Even though roughly half of the tracks on this album are of moderate quality, "Peace Sells", "Devil's Island", and "Good Mourning/Black Friday" cause me to not regret buying Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?.
