Carson gave this album
Prime examples of this watery sound are "Wish" and "Fist Fuck". "Gave Up" is a more upbeat version of the original and has a much more electronic feel. "Happiness in Slavery" sounds a little like the original version mixed with something from the Front by Front album by Front 242 and is less angry sounding than the original. "Throw This Away" begins with a modified version of "Help Me I Am In Hell" from Broken lest if feel left out. "Fist Fuck", by the same token, begins with a variant of "Pinion". Finally, what "Screaming Slave" lacks in melody, it overachieves at in CD skipping noises; whether or not that is a good choice is up for debate.
Overall, I prefer this album to Broken. I do wish there was a version of "Last" though. I am not sure if leaving this song off of the album was intentional or an oversight; but in my opinion, it would have been a better closing track than "Screaming Slave".
