I would always recommend listening to a CD before you buy it to make sure that the new song that you heard on the radio isn’t the only good track on the album. I have been burned by this many times and now actively try to avoid it.
Lately, most of the CDs that I have purchased have been used; this is a fairly major changing in my purchasing habits since I have not regularly purchased used CDs since highschool. It has also been a learning experience as places like Amazon did not exist in the early 1990’s.
I have recently started using Last.fm to keep track of what I am listening to most often and to get recommendations for new music (or at least new to me) based upon my listening habits.
I have been buying about 3 or 4 albums every month for review and have been reviewing about 1 or 2 albums per month. The following albums, in no particular order, are the next on my list to purchase so expect to see some of them reviewed in the coming months.
