I had been looking for a way to stream my music to my phone or laptop for a while now and was considering signing up for a music locker service. However, a couple of months ago, a friend of mine suggested I look into Subsonic.

Tubeify is a new "web 2.0" service that is a combines several music related services into a useful online music experience. It is still missing a couple of features in my opinion, but it appears to still be in Beta as you have to have an invite to join, so I expect more features to be added later.

I want to start off by saying that I do not have problems with the MP3s themselves; MP3s that I have downloaded have always played correctly and have been of high quality. I do however have issues with their service.
