Over Christmas and New Year’s I was in Memphis visiting my in-laws and was able to go to Celtic Crossing. This is one of my favorite places to listen to live music as it is usually not overly crowded, too noisy, or filled with obnoxious drunks.

I found something totally unexpected in my inbox this morning, a request from Trent Reznor for me to take part in a survey. I recently downloaded The Slip from their site and, as part of the process, filled out my contact information. I am positive that this is the reason I received the e-mail and not for attending a Nine Inch Nails concert way back in 1995. 🙂

I would always recommend listening to a CD before you buy it to make sure that the new song that you heard on the radio isn’t the only good track on the album. I have been burned by this many times and now actively try to avoid it.
