Literal videos

I have been meaning to write an article about the relatively new phenomena of literal videos for a couple of months, but haven’t gotten around to it. I realize that by now, everyone with an Internet connection has already heard of this concept, but oh well.

For those two or three people left in the world that haven’t stumbled across this trend on their own, or heard about it from a friend, "literal videos" are music videos with the original words removed and replaced with a play-by-play of the action. This may sound boring, but it – in many cases – is quite humorous.

As these videos are created by different people, the quality of the singing and lyric writing can vary wildly. Some are funny but off key, others are sung well but not very funny, some are great all-around, and some are just lousy. In short, its pretty hit-or miss. I have posted a few of them below for your enjoyment, but there are many others on YouTube. The three videos should play back-to-back, if they do not for some reason, please let me know.
