Weekly Observations: 2011 Week 49

Recent Issues with Scrobbling

Around about two weeks ago I started experiencing problems with Last.fm‘s scrobbling service. Scrobbling tracks what songs and albums users listen to and suggest similar music that the listeners may also like.

Linux kernel update issues with sound

Recently I updated the kernel on my Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (Hardy Heron) box from 2.6.24-22 to 2.6.24-23 and, after a reboot, my sound quit working. No sound means no music. 🙁
