Musical tutorial site

Recently, while searching for a specific piece of sheet music, I stumbled across a site full of music tutorials and other resources. "Making Music Fun" is primarily aimed at elementary school children, but would be useful for anyone trying to learn to play an instrument, read sheet music, or learn other musical topics.

Apple and the music industry disagree

Recently, MSN published an article concerning changes in the way online music is being distributed and the disagreements between Apple and the music industry. The industry wants songs to be DRM encumbered, while Apple does not. Also the industry wishes for Apple to raise prices, while Apple – for obvious competitive reasons – favors lowering prices.

Turning podcasts into normal mp3s

A few weeks ago I suggested subscribing to Last.fm’s podcast of recommended free music. If you use iTunes, you can get even benefit from this service by downloading two no cost programs: Mp3tag and MixMeister BPM Analyzer.

Christmas annoyance

First of all, I want to wish everyon a Merry Christmas or appropriate greeting for your winter-time holiday. However, the main point of this post is that I am getting really sick of Christmas music and am thankful that either tomorrow or 11 more days from now it will all go away. I am, of course, talking about the endless loop of Yuletide cheer coming from my radio.
