Weekly Observations: 2012 Weeks 2 and 3
It’s time again for my random musical thoughts from the last two weeks and news about Music Discussions.
With all the talk of the Republican candidates travelling the country, I started wondering how campaign music is chosen? What factors do the public relations staff take into consideration? Style, lyrics, artist, popularity, how recent the song is?
Also, recently, I realized that even the most unprofessional sites no longer have poorly arranged MIDI tracks playing when the page first loads. Fortunately, this trend was not replaced with low quality MP3 files playing on page load.
In other news, I may be switching hosting providers in the next couple of months. I have been having intermittent issues with my current provider for since November. I will put up an announcement before switching to let you all know that the site may be down for maintenance.
