Recently, I had received three friend requests on Jamendo. This, in and of itself, is not unusual; however, there are a couple of things that confuse me.<\/p>\n

First, I really haven’t been in my Jamendo<\/a> account since I created it so I am not an active community member. And, as near as I can tell, I do not know these people in real life. Therefore, why did they send me a friend request. Since I am not active on the site, it is unlikely that I will be that valuable of an online "friend".<\/p>\n Also, people on social networking sites in general (if "Jamendo" can even be loosely lumped into this group) who friend request others whome they have Along those same lines, I accepted both requests as I hope to have the six songs that I started production on ready by this time next year. If so, I will release the album \/ EP to Jamendo<\/a> and Magnatune<\/a> and, hopefully, my new "friends" will will check it out.<\/p>\n
\nnever talked to confuse me. Why would you want a friend that you have never talked to? What possible benefit would that have? In the one case, I think
\nthe reason that the requester send me the message is that he has a group and I assume is trying to spread the word. This is probably not the best way to do
\nthis, but at least he is being pro-active.<\/p>\n
