Front by Front is a typical example of industrial from the late 1980's and early 1990's.
This album is, overall, very synthesizer heavy and is similar in style to Pretty Hate Machine from Nine Inch Nails. Songs like "Circling Overland" and "Im Rhythmus Bleiben" are representative. "Felines". Tracks such as "Terminal State" and "Work 01" make excellent use of stereo separation and keep the album interesting.
Most of the songs on the album are around average, but there are a few notable exceptions. "Headhunter v 3.0", "Felines", and "Until Death (Us Do Part)" raise the overall quality of the album.
Overall, this is a good addition to any late 1980's industrial fan's collection.
