Ah, the 80's. When hair metal ruled was in, and Ratts weren't just pests.
The pace of "Dance" and "Body Talk" is much faster than is typical of Ratt and is a nice change, although this may put off some fans. "7th Avenue" most exhibits Pearcy's unique vocal style, and is one of the best songs on the album. "Enough is Enough" and "Slip of the Lip" are the probably the two tracks that sound the most similar to Ratt's later music for those who are interested in a more mellow sound.
Okay, now for the negatives. Really, the only track that I ever skip on this album is "Take a Chance". It is an okay song, but it feels too repetitive and is not very memorable. Again, it is not bad per-se, just not up to the standards that the rest of the album set.
To sum up, four great songs, five very good songs, and one song that I only occasionally skip past make Dancing Undercover a vital addition to any Glam Metal / Hair Metal fan's collection.
